Academy for Ageing Research

The Academy for Ageing Research at the “Haus der Barmherzigkeit” is a non-profit organisation that has been engaged in research and teaching in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics since 2002. Its activities support the long-term care of older and very old people and people with chronic diseases and disabilities through interdisciplinary research, the results of which are to be applied to improve care and contribute to an increase in the quality of life of those being cared for. Both, research and teaching, are strongly interdisciplinary and internationally oriented with the aim of generating new scientific knowledge and making it available for practical application in the shortest possible way through our teaching activities.
